Managing question pools

Good morning -

I've created a quiz project that uses pool questions.  When I originally created the project, the slides with the pool questions appeared in a window at the bottom of the screen (where "timeline" is) and I could see the slides in sort of a "filmstrip" view at the bottom of the screen.  Now, when I open Question Pool Manager, I see the slides at the bottom for a second or two, but they disappear and go back to timeline.  This window then appears with a list of the questions.  If I want to review or change one of the question slides, I have to choose it from this window.  Is there a way for me to get the question slides to display in the bottom of the page again so that I can use that to scroll through the slides more easily?

Thank you.

I just created a question pool in the version you are using, by importing a GIFT file. When I open the Question pool manager (from the Quiz menu) I see indeed the dialog box you are showing, but the Question pool appears in the bottom dock as expected and replaced the Timeline. Of course I am using the expert UI, but I didn't change to my Quizzing workspace to mimick the behavior on your system if you are using the default UI. Can you try to open the Question pool using the Window menu?

Some very important detail is missing in your question: which exact version are you using? I need the full version number as you can find under Help, About Captivate. For sure it is not version 12 because that version has no question pools.

My bad.  It's Captivate 2019.  Release 11.8.1.219

That works!  I was hoping there was a simple solution that I had missed.  Thanks!

I am so used to my custom workspaces. My quizzing workspace has both master slides, timeline and question pool in the bottom dock.

Great that it worked! The Window menu allows you to open any panel, but if you are in the default UI it will replace panels instead of adding them.
