Is there a special way to install this add in?

Starting at square one, because it eliminates some of the simpler possibilities, I just want to make sure you are installing the correct add-in. There are a few for Connect, so it's easy to use the wrong one. Did you get the add-in here: http://www.adobe.com/support/connect/downloads-updates.html#connect-extensions

There is also the user guide here to go through setting it up and getting it working: http://seminars.adobe.acrobat.com/p4etpklxjjp/

You mention the most current add-in, did you have an older version working?

I downloaded it from the adobe.com website- under Resources- dowloads and updates- additional downloads-I then clicked on the Microsft Outlook [32 bit Windows] www.adobe.com/support/connect/downloads-updates.html#additional-downloads

I did have another add-in that  had downloaded about a week prior to this one which did the same thing this one was doing except for the first one didn't make my whole desktop freeze up I would just get constant notificatioin boxes popping up telling me there was some error with adobe meeting of some sort. I just want to be able to schedule an adobe connect meeting via outlook instead of having it sent to me first and then having to turn around and have to download it to any other sites that may be having the same issues.I wish I would have taken pics of the error boxes but unfortuanly I didn't. I did exactly what the guide said to do for installation-

Sounds like there may be some issue with the installer or you configuration that is causing the issue. I would recomend contacting Adobe Support to have them look at it and see if they can provide a resolution. Some of the support staff does reach out via this forum from time to time, but you can contact them directly at 800-945-9210.
