I wish I knew...getting a question answered is unbearable
Subject renamed from "How do people use these forums and stay sane?"
Post moved from Using the Community to Acrobat Reader Mobile
Hi @mallory35494152ola3 @kglad,
This is a designed behavior.
The mobile version of Acrobat offers two different options.
One is the "remove feature," which removes the file from appearing on the recent list.
The other is the "delete function," which removes the file entirely from the source location.
Once done, the file cannot be recovered from our end.
We did make some changes to make the delete message more self-explanatory.
Please let me know if the message doesn't describe the pro

This is the only post you have made on the Adobe forums. What is your question?

You need to ask in an Android forum, or a forum for your specific brand of cell phone
The fact that it is a PDF has nothing to do with how the Android operating system works

The Acrobat for Mobile forum covers PDF issues on Android phones, John. I moved it there from Using the Community, then it was moved it from the Acrobat for Mobile forum to Creative Cloud Services.

jeez, it's not a reader issue. it's not an android issue. it's not a pdf issue.
it's a document cloud issue.

Hi Mallory
I don't use Android, so I moved your question to the Acrobat Reader for Mobile forum where you are more likely to get a response from staff and from those who use Acrobat Reader for Mobile on Android, but I see it's been moved again.
Do you have the Android App "Recycle Bin" installed?
I also found this:
"How to Restore Deleted PDF Files in Android?
"It is relatively easy to restore deleted files on Android devices. You just need to open your Google Drive, select the files in the Trash you want to restore and click Restore to finish it. Of course, you need to ensure that you have used the same ID login for backup devices."

Thank you very much...unfortunately, I don't use google drive for back up and I've checked every trash bin in every app...not in any and it seems that there is NO recycle bin on my phone...I had looked for hours. I appreciate that you took the time to try and help, as well as transferring to appropriate forum!

I am going to try this again...thanks for taking the time to help me...I too, find the abobe help center to not be quite helpful!

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/
p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

Everyone seems to be assuming 1 of 2 things (or both of them)
1 - Mallory is using an Adobe program to read and/or manage PDF files
2 - Mallory's cell phone is linked to Adobe cloud storage
Mallory has not actually said either of these things
I have a Samsung Android cell phone and I have not had to install anything from Adobe to be able to open and view a PDF file... a function included with the cell phone reads a PDF just fine
I do not have my cell phone linked to any type of cloud storage... so aside from what jane-e posted about Google Drive (which I do not use) when I delete any type of file it is GONE
So until Mallory provides more information, I don't think anyone really knows how to restore that specific file

I have the paid version of Adobe acrobat which converts files to and from other formats, as well as editing features and reader, it also comes with adobe cloud..though it seems that that a very few files are saved there...I'm sure it's apparent how limited my technical capabilites are!

you're welcome.
p.s. we've had a discussion here about whether this is an android issue, pdf issue, reader mobile issue or document cloud issue. which is it? and can you see your pdf in the deleted folder at https://documentcloud.adobe.com

no, you're correct. i just tested a pdf from reader mobile. when deleted from my phone, it was deleted from my online document folder with a warning that it was unrecoverable.

thanks for that (but, imo, it's another example of the various adobe cloud solutions having little/nothing in common with each other except the adobe name).

@kglad We are in talks to better the experience! Can't commit to it now, but there are discussions under way.
