No "other versions" option available in Creative Cloud App

Hi @aLL,

 

I need to revert back to an older version of Photopshop as 26.1 does not support my Windows version anymore. However, there is no option for "other versions" available anymore in the context menu. There are only "delete" and "add ons" available. Any ideas why I cannot see the option "other versions" in all of the installed apps within Creative Cloud? I am running CC version 5.5.0.617.

Additonal guidance:

On Admin Portal:

1. Navigate to Packages (top)

2. Create a Package >

3. Managed Package >

4. Platform (Win 64bit for me)

5. Select Other Versions Button (Check Older Versions)

6.Choose Photoshop 25.12 (and finalize/finish package)

7. Wait for package to be built, download and install. 

This is the process I followed to get Photoshop v25.12 running.

@Ged_Traynor, unfortunately the new version 6.4 does not work on our system as the versions of Windows that we are using is too old but our IT does not allow to update. That is why also the latest version of Photoshop does not work on our system and we need to downgrade to an older version. Is there another way of downgrading?

Are you on an Enterprise version? If so, it your administrator that decides what to package for you.

@davescm, we are on an Enterprise verion (1809). I just talke to one of our IT admins and he told me "Available application versions" in package preferences is selected, however, there is no "older versions" options in the CC app as we are running an old CC-version (5.5.0.617) which we cannot update. Any ideas?

The oldest version available for Photoshop is 24.7.5 which requires "Windows 10 64-bit (version 20H2) or later; LTSC versions are not supported". Here is the helpful article on the system requirement: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/system-requirements/2023.html

Hi @SuJoshi, I am currently running version 25 of Photoshop on one of my other laptops with the same Windows version (Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC) I am running on my new laptop. Photoshop on the other laptop was setup before the update to version 26. So Photoshop is running on our system but not version 26.1. When I start Photoshop on my new laptop I get the error that dccore.dll cannot be found on my system. That is the reason why I would like to revert back to version 25. Any thoughts?

Hi again @SuJoshi, I just checked you recommended document "Enterprise support policy". There is a long-term supported Photoshop version (25.12). How can we get this version when there is no option to install other versions in the Creative Cloud desktop app? Cheers, Martin

The admin of your org can create a new package with the LTS version and install it on the device.

I can confirm this worked for me, I Built a deployment package for 25.12 on the Adobe admin portal and it installed and runs great.
