@pa_2910 The heart of the problem is that when you save a file directly to the Adobe cloud, Illustrator often "locks" that file to your specific Adobe ID (your email address) for security, which is good in theory, but tricky in practice. Because youa re using two computers, the computer you used to upload the file might have a slight hiccup in its Creative Cloud login token or a preference file. When the cloud system sees the file is locked to your ID, and your local computer tries to access it through a slightly "mismatched" or stale login, it throws the error message, essentially saying: "This file is for user X, but the user X logging in right now doesn't look exactly right." Because, the second computer has a fresh, clean login token for your Adobe ID, so the cloud server says: "Yep, this is definitely user X, access granted!"
So, the one you upload the files to the Cloud, the quickest way to resolve the cloud access issue and clear up the login confusion is to perform a simple re-authentication process on the computer experiencing the error. To begin, open the Creative Cloud Desktop Application, navigate to your Profile Icon (usually a circle with your initials or photo), and select "Sign Out." After waiting about 30 seconds, simply sign back in using your Adobe ID. This action forces the computer to acquire a fresh login token, which should successfully re-authenticate your machine and clear up any mismatched access rights, allowing you to open the Illustrator file directly from the cloud without seeing the error message.
Get ready! An upgraded Adobe Community experience is coming in January.
