Error on 2023 Illustrator - 1 percent Black added to white but doesn't work in Acrobat or on output

I have added 1 percent black to white areas on 152 pages as the file needs to be printed on non white material.  e.g. everywhere that should be white needs a very small amount of colour for our press to back up with white. 

When I view in Acrobat the 1 percent black hasn't registered and didn't work on press.    I did get round the error by backsaving to Illustrator 2022 but wanted to make you aware.   I have now gone back to using 2022 for now.
