Hello, I need a help with a query. I have a vector that drawn by me and it has 2 parts. I would like to add bevel to it but it adds bevel to all inner parts that the vector have. I just want to add an outer bevel like I do on photoshop. What should I do. Please advise.

Yes, exactly.

Add the bevel as a third object, rather than using an effect.

Or, perhaps you could try applying the effect to a third object, give that object a white fill, and set its blend mode to Multiply.

The 3D team also offers this solution: to create two copies of the same object, but with different fills, and apply a clipping mask to the top one. Won’t work if the object is also rotated, would require changing each effect separately, because the panel does not allow to change the effect for two selected objects at once, but other than that — a good workaround for this particular case.

This is something 3D & Materials can’t do, it always treats the object like it’s been divided. A way to not do this is really needed, and I encourage you to make it into a request at UserVoice forums.

Please show. And also please show an example of how you want it to look like

PS one is photoshop. I mean on Illustrator it bevels inner white bar as well. Because it is a vector with parts. If I can make it a whole piece I can make the bevel with the way I am looking for. Thank you for replying.

I need the one like the first image. The one I made on photoshop.
