Pencil Tool Not Filling

Hi! Well, as the title says, thats my problem. Started halfway through a projekt. Now whenever I choose fill instead of stroke and make any kind of closed shape it just leaves the trace but does not fill.. and the box that showed the color gets the white "none" box with the red diagonal line on it. What is up? Im new to illustrator and I have tried to google but found nothing.
