Rounded Edge Dash Stroke in Vertical Alignment?

Hi,

I'm trying to get my dashed lines to have rounded edges, but not in the typical horizontal setting; I need it vertically (see screen grab). I tried playing around with the settings and it just doesn't seem to be possible. How would I go about it? You can see my temporary image behind in a lighter opacity to give an idea of what I want to achieve. I'm just not that versed in Illustrator, so I didn't want to have to build it manually and start creating separate paths for each strokes and end up taking forever to build with hundreds of single sub layers...

Thanks!

    Hi,

Thanks, that brings me in the right direction. Now my problem is the following:

    - I made it black to keep it standard, but I can't seem to be able to change the color of the dashes, they stay black even though my selected stroke line is yellow. How do I change the color then?

    Thanks again!

    In "Colorization method" select "Tints"
