Masking in LR mobile 7.0.1 didn't remember adjustment I did. I tried to select +5 in every masking adjustment but it disappeared after I finished and open it again. It won't happen when I select +100 - 100. Does anyone facing the same issue?

Hello @Teekaphan0D45

What device are you using?  I cannot reproduce on my iPhone 12 running iOS 14.8.  When I make modest changes (+5 on any of the edit settings for a mask), exit, and re-open the image in Masking, all my previous changes still exist.

If you could share a screen recording of the problem you're seeing, it might help us understand what's happening.

Thanks and kind regards,

Charlie

Hi again @Teekaphan0D45

Thank you for the screen video.  I tried on a 13 Pro Max, copying your actions move-for-move, and I still can't reproduce the issue here.  I tried on both a DNG and JPG image.  I'll take your video to the developers for further investigation.

I did notice that to the right of the Optics button, your app shows no Previous/Reset button when Masking mode is open.  This makes me wonder if you have the latest 7.0.1 released build, or is this perhaps some Prerelease build you have access to?  Can you confirm your build version as shown in Settings > About?

Also, does it help to re-install the app?

@Teekaphan0D45

Please disregard my questions about the Previous/Reset buttons, and the suggestion to re-install.  A teammate wisely pointed out the UI from your screen capture comes from editing as part of the Import workflow.

And now we do understand how to reproduce -- dragging the sliders doesn't reproduce the problem, but tapping to the left or right to nudge the sliders in small incredments does reproduce.

For now, to avoid this issue, please drag the sliders.

Thanks for reaching out to us to report this issue!

When I make changes to a mask the changes are not saved.
iPad Pro 12.9" 3rd gen, iOS 15.1, Lr v.7.0.1 292BF0/66
I have a raw photo with a Linear gradient mask that covers the whole photo. When I tap the Masks icon and make changes to the sliders like exposure, contrast, etc and then click Done, the changes are not saved and all the work that I did was removed. Please fix!

I am not able to replicate your issue.

Can you record a video of the problem and post a link to it here?

Are you tapping the sliders instead of sliding them?

If so, does it work if you slide instead?

I'm currently using the 2020 iPad Pro on iOS 15.1 with the latest update of Lightroom.

My problem is that when I revisit a mas layer and I decide to adjust the light levels or colour levels and after doing so and clicking done, it deletes all the adjustments I had just made and sets them back to what they previously was, now this only happens within a mask layer, everything else works perfectly for me, I've tried deleting the app completely with all the data and reinstalling it and the problem persists so I assumed it's a bug because I've followed all the tutorials numerous times just to see if it was something I was doing wrong, I'm aware this new masking system is new and there's bound to be bugs so I understand but it's slowed down my work.

Appologies for this post I've realised what the issue was now so technically this problem has been resolved and isn't a bug.

So apparently I was wrong again, the problem has started again so I'll still need a resolve if possible.

I've been using the mask selections extensively on my iPad Pro and have not run across this. Can you describe exactly what you do to:

  1. select a mask to activate the edits
  2. adjust the edits
  3. Exit the mask and return to global edits

Screen captures might help as well.

Hello @GDK Photography

Is it possible you have tapped on adjustment slider bars vs dragging the adjusment handles?  We're investigating a known bug related to tapping sliders to "nudge" adjustments = may not see edits saved.  Dragging slider handles does save edits.

It turns out that it is a bug, I've just been informed by adobe and it only happens when I adjust the sliders by tapping the sliders ands nudging the value, it works perfectly when actually dragging the slider to the desired value.

Masking on the 5th gen ipad with the newest ipad OS works ok, but when you try to re-edit a mask using the tap to add in increments feature on a setting such as light, sometimes it does not save the edit when you close out of masking. It will revert back to the previous mask setting. You can circumvent this by sliding the slider instead of tapping by increments, so it isn’t the biggest deal. Just wanted to make it known. I was also told this feature  is not yet supported on the newest iPad Pro (strange). So hoping for a patch soon...

On the IPad version of Lightroom, I noticed that whenever I try to adjust settings on a previously created mask I made, the changes do not save. The only work around is if I make the changes, create a new mask (for example just create a blank radial mask) then press done it then saves the changes to the original mask.

Anybody else have this issue? I'll upload a video showing how the mask does not save the change I made.

So just an update. I was looking at other threads trying to find others that had similar issues and I saw the adobe mentioned there's an issue that occurs when you tap on a slider instead of dragging it, the changes aren't saved. I tried dragging the slider and it saved.

So this is an issue that needs to be fixed. Tapping a slider on a mask to adjust it doesn't save your changes. Dragging on the slider does save.
