P: Generative Fill Button greyed out (age)

After selection is active, I cannot use the generative fill button. It's visible, but greyed out...

I already switched from german language to english without success.. Please advice. Thanks !

The only thing that fixed this for me was deleting the AdobeUpdateAdmnPrefs.dat file. Instructions are in my previous reply to this thread.

Unfortunately, that didn't work for me. It seems like when issues like this have happened in the past, Adobe leads me to just uninstall and reinstall everything all over again 😞

I got the same problem, version 24.6 only available and is still has the grey box of the generative fill

Now I can select and even type some prompts, but I get no result, the image is unchanged !

It generates, but nothing to see...

EDIT: I work with FRversion, but I had to put my prompts in EN, even if the info-bubles are also in FR...

Now it works!

I have a question. I have installed the latest beta version Photoshop because I wanted to use the "generative filling" feature. Unfortunately, this feature is not working for me. I cannot type anything in the text field as it appears grayed out, and when I hover over it with the mouse cursor, a message saying "access to the generative filling function is not available" is displayed. I have attached a screenshot for reference. I would greatly appreciate your assistance. Thank you.

Hi @Alexis Vrbg how long have you seen this issue? Have you refreshed or restarted your system and does this error persist?

First of all, that is very silly. This is not a "mature", must-be-ad-adult-to-use feature. Second, there is no documentation. I undersatnd it is beta at teh moment, but this would be a simple thing to document. Third, Adobe never asked me for a birthday, and honestly, I don't want Adobe to have my birthday. It should not be up to Adobe how I choose to use their product.
