P: Lightroom Classic>Edit in PS: Long Delay+Erroneous Error Message opening Ps Beta 2024 25.0

Running LR Classic 12.4 and trying to edit in photoshop - both 25 Beta and 24.1.0 and image doesnt open. Is this a bug in Lightroom? Im running OSX Ventura 13.5.

Lorsque je vais dans l'onglet "photo" puis "modifier dans photoshop 2023", Photoshop s'ouvre bien mais pas d'affichage de la photo.

Mes applications dans creative cloud sont bien à jour et la synchronisation est bien en validée (nuage en haut à droite de chaque application LR ou Photoshop)

Je suis sous Mac OS Ventura 13.4.1

Quelqu'un a-t-il déjà rencontré ce problème ?

I don't mind being a BETA tester but not so much an unpaid QA tester.

- cannot load an image into PS from LR classic

- LR external editor setting does not allow me to select a different PS version, only has 2024 option

This is not beta, this is alpha. Uninstalling and hoping for the best

So frustrated, I have now spent hours trying to resolve this issue on my iMac. While on vacation three days ago uninstalling the Beta version and going back to PS 24.6 and Beta versions 24.7 fixed my issue. Now on this computer that fix is not resolving the issue. I've uninstalled versions, reinstalled earlier versions, restarted my computer multiple times and LR to PS is still not communicating. This is beyond frustrating. 

Thank you all for your suggestions, I uninstalled the Ps beta to v24.7 and everything works as before. If someone does it like me, then do not install the latest version of Beta v25 - because it is probably not yet refined in this matter. Thank you and best regards R 🙂

Dziękuję wszystkim za podpowiedzi, odinstalowałem Ps beta do wersji v24.7 i wszystko działa jak dawniej. Jak komuś tak się robi jak mnie to nie instalować najnowszej wersji Beta v25 - bo chyba jeszcze nie jest w tej kwestii dopracowana. Dziękuję i pozdrawiam R 🙂 

hope adobe team will fix that soon, 'cause it's a real PITA as it slooooowwww diwn the workflow with LR and PS, i won't go back to PS Beta 24.7, as the 25 version of beta fixed the problem of "suppress tool" for me (it only works in 25 beta version)...

This precisely the problem I had. It all worked well, until it didn't, and I got the same message about not being able to start Ps(beta) even though I was looking at the just started Ps. It just didn't load the image file into Ps.

The uninstall and reinstalls I did were with restarting the computer after uninstalling Lr and Ps(both beta and stable), and then restarting the computer after installing Ps(stable), and then again after installing Lr.

Maybe the restarts helped. But, as I say, I'm going to wait for this bug to be fixed before trying to go back to Ps(beta) escpecially since I often like to transition into Ps by opening the file as a Smart Object.

I'm having the same issue.  I have noticed that I can "Edit Original" file with no issue, but if I select "Edit a Copy with LR Adjusments" or "Edit a Copy" everything hangs for a minute or two, I get the "The file could not be edited..." window, and if I click OK the file opens.  

My simple workaround is to manually transfer files from LR to PS Beta. It involves a few more keystrokes as I right-click on the image in LR and go to file location, right click that file and select open in PS Beta. When done, I save to same location with new name. Back in LR I re-synchronise LR, so it picks up the edited image into its catalogue. Simples! 

Of course, Adobe are no doubt working on a fix which may in fact be a LR issue not PS???
