Contacted Adobe customer care and resolved issues- needed to include ps and lrc on full disk access in accessibility menu for Mac - seems a system update must've removed them !

Hi all,
We are happy to announce the release of Photoshop version 25.5 (public version), which incorporates the resolution for this particular problem. To see the list of all fixed issues, click here
Update: LR did not have an option to change from Beta to PS 25, it was stuck on Beta as default even though not listed. I deleted PS, PS Beta and LR. Installed LR first, then PS. Working ok now....questiuon is if I install Beta will the issue come back?
Photoshop Beta (version 25.4.0 20231220.m.2439 ceb99ef x64) does not open 2 (multiple) images from LR Classic (version 13.1) in layers. It opens one layer and the other layer in the layer panel stays transparent.
Then I tried: Open another tab with an image and drag it with the move tool on top of another layer. It gives a program error window "can't use this tool because of a program error" (I use the Dutch version of PS beta).
as I try to open 8 (also with only 4) images from LR on PS as layers, PS opens the 1st image in 2 separate archives and then stops. The first file is named as expected and has one layer, the first image. The second file has 2 layers, the first image and a blank "Load Layers" layer.
the same issue happens when opening as smart object layers.
It works correctly if I open all in PS (8 different files are opened this way, as expected)
Hey, Danny. I'll help you figure this out. Have you recently updated Photoshop (Beta)? Do you have Photoshop 2024 installed on this machine?
You can set up or recreate the link between Lightroom Classic & Photoshop (Beta) & have a separate option for Photoshop 2024 as an external editor preset in Preferences (Windows) or Settings (macOS) > External Editor.
To start fresh, follow these steps.
Reset Lightroom Classic following the second (manual) method from this article: https://adobe.ly/48fAc9Z
Uninstall Photoshop & Photoshop (beta) once & install Photoshop 2024 first, and then install Photoshop (Beta) again.
Using current version of Lightroom Classic, when I select 2 jpgs to open as layers in Photoshop beta 25.4 m.2439, the process in Photoshop of opening in layers does not work, it stops halfway through. They will open correctly in the current production version of Photoshop.
When I select a number of images in LR Classic and then, via the photo, menu, I select "Edit in..." and "open as layers in photoshop", it just opens one image then stops.
I am on my desktoip PC running Windows 10 Professional. I am using Photoshop Beta (latest update) and also LrC (latest update).
p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
As the title suggests, layers aren't opening properly in Photoshop. Out of two layers selected, only one image is opened in Photoshop. And actually, it's opened twice, once all by its lonesome, and once accompanied with a blank "load layers" layer. The second image never makes it out of the gate.
My work around... First open regular Photoshop and then in Lightroom Classic open layers in Photoshop. (You still can install and use the Beta version )
Interestingly lightroom wants to open ps beta and yet notification says its still running - LRC wont even open photoshop anymore let alone my focus stack as layers
