P: 24.1 - Where has Delete and Fill context menu gone?

Community Beginner ,
Dec 14, 2022 Dec 14, 2022

I just updated photo shop today two version 24.1 and I have noticed delete and fill has been removed. This is really disheartening because it works so much better than content aware fill. Normally you can right click on the selection to access this, but I have looked through all the menus and have not found it since this update.

@dalem45350557 I wonder where my screenshot came from then, a couple of posts ago?

If you go to Help > System info what version is shown? After the update it should be Version: 24.1.1 20230112.r.238

The Delete and Fill option appears after making a selection and right clicking to get the context menu.

As @TheDigitalDog stated, the update is a rolled out style and by tomorrow everyone should have it.  Refresh your CC desktop app and you should see Ps 24.1.1

Thank you,

Cory

The update that just appeared today is 24.1, not 24.1.1, so that is why it is not showing

@Ged_Traynor The fixed issues page has just been updated : https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/fixed-issues.html

It looks like the update is rolling in phases. My PC has it, my daughters does not. It did appear in her update list in the CC app along with an update to 23.5.3. She took 23.5.3 first - then 24.1.1 was no longer there! I think D Fosse had a similar issue earlier today

Apparently the updates roll out over a period of time.  Not everyone gets them at the same time.

I've only an update for 24.1 which is already installed on my PC. Not sure what is happening here. I've refreshed the update and still only shows an update for 24.1 not 24.1.1

As Cory explained earlier, roll out is being phased. I would have thought that would be to avoid excess load on the servers.

Ciao davescm,

in Italia Elimina e Riempi non è ancora attivo! Non si possono ancora utilizzare i Materiali, anche questi spariti con l'aggiornamento 24.1

Hi

I don't know how the phasing is done (I don't work for Adobe), whether it is by region or groups of users or something else. I appear to have been in the early group.  All I can suggest is to keep trying over the next day or so.

Where is this version available? Creative Cloud has 24.1.0 as the latest version. 24.1.1 is nowhere to be found...

@jkborys  @davescm

I'm waiting for the update 24.1.1 to come through as well.
I've manually pushed for the update.
Restarted the Adoble Cloud App, restarted my machine and still nothing.
Hopefully it will come through for us soon.

Hi all, appologies if we jumped the gun with excitement that this bug was fixed.  It has been and will be in the 24.1.1 release which everyone will see very soon.  It will show just as all other updates when it drops in your CCD app:

@Andrea34932679ehj8

If you are on a Mac and don't have a right-click button, the old method of Ctrl+Click from when we had a one button mouse continues to work as the equivalent of a right-click.

Note that it's Ctrl+Click, not Cmd+Click.
