Greetings,

Thank you for reporting the issue and I apologize it took this long.

I was able to reproduce this issue by using a localized Spanish language in Photoshop. I have filed the issue for our development team.

The workaround might be to use English in Photoshop if possible, if I find an easier workaround I will post here.

Hi Simone,
I am sorry to say I was not able to reproduce the issue you and the others in https://community.adobe.com/t5/Photoshop/Black-image-from-3d-spherical-panorama/m-p/10732569#M277499 are seeing.

Howevever, I have seen similar behavior before to this.  Can you please try enabling Preferences -> Performance -> Legacy Compositing and let us know if that resolves the issue?  We appreciate your help on the matter.  Thank you.

Sincerely,
Andrew

Hi Andrew,
thank you so much for your reply.
Is this the option that you said? I don't sure because in Italian the translate is a little bit different.
If yes, I've activated it, restarted PS CC 2020 v  21.0.1 but nothing is changed, always black image when I try to do a 3d spherical panorama with "New Panorama Layer from Selected Layer(s)..."
Thank you in advance for your support!
Simone

That is the one!  I'm sorry to hear it didn't help.  We do have another engineer looking this.  Thank you for your understanding and patience.

It may help if we could see yourPhotoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help > System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

Hi everyone.

Any news about this? Is possible to downgrade to CC2019 meanwhile? It's worrying the issue isn't fixed yet

Hi Rutilio,
at now nothing is changed, always black image and no others feedback has been given from the Adobe engineers. I hope that they are working on that.
I confirm that you can use the CC2019 meanwhile, but sure this is not a solution.
I hope soon any good news from the Adobe team.
Regards,
Simone

Noticed the same problem on three different PCs:
Intel i7 6700HQ + nVidia 960m (GPU1)
Intel i7 10710U + nVidia GTX 1650 Max Q (GPU1)
AMD Ryzen 5 2600 + nVidia GTX 1050 Ti (GPU0)

All of them have 16 GB of RAM and 4 GB of VRAM each
Luckily the workaround (import....) works.
All of them have the latest version of PS (updated by CC app) and the latest stable Windows Build.
Also, nVidia drivers are updated.

This is interesting Lorenzo, in my case Ryzen 2600X + nVidia GT 1030 (2Gb). At now the people that had these problems are increasing, so we hope soon in a resolutive fix by Adobe.

all of the three systems are for production.
One of them is actually a "backup", so I'll try on it as soon as I have time

Hi everyone!

Photoshop 21.0.2 updated, nothing is changed!!

Any news about this?

Speaking of it on the web, an user has had our same problem but now he has solved. The problem was in the side of Adobe, I report textually here: "hi after 3 hrs chat with Adobe and ... check check check .... it was not my system iOS ... it was in my Creative cloud account. The problem was on iMac and MacBook Pro the same... after Some days i saw it was solved.... now Tu works fine". In my case the OS is W10, but I think that nothing change.

An help for all us from the Adobe staff please?

Thank you in advance,
Simone

I have exactly the same issue in my french photoshop.I'm working with the latest update (21.0.2) and it's impossible to complete my work.
I'm starting to be slightly upset, let's say discovering I'm not the only one is a little less frustating!

And the Legacy Compositing hasn't changed anything

Great Daniel!
Work for me from Italian to English, good!
So at now this is a BUG with Spanish/French/Italian language of Photoshop.
At now surely it's a solution, but me too I hope in an easier workaoround, infact it's ok for me to use the English version, but I can't because i'Ve made too much actions that recall in my case italian names, so these fail when I launch them in EN version. But in meantime, thank you!

Hi, today I've had a new Photoshop update, version 21.0.3. I hoped in some change in this aspect, but nothing change. EN version is OK, IT version in my case, but I imagine the same also for FR and ES version, nothing is changed. Always black image from 3d spherical panorama with "New Panorama Layer from Selected Layer(s)".
The problem has been opened two months ago and a months ago this problem has been detected from the Adobe's team. I don't do your work, but according to me is only a trivial translation error that generates this problem. Does it really need so long time to be fixed? I wish you the best, thank you in advance!

Nothing has changed for me neither.
Still have to switch from FR to EN when I need to work in 3D spherical...
So haughtily towards non-english speakers
