What version of windows do you have?

In my experience photoshop 7 runs fine on just about every windows version from windows 98 to windows 11, with the one caveat being your hard drive/ssd/ boot drive can't have more than 1 TB of freespace or photoshop 7 will complain about the scratch disk being full, since photoshop versions up to CS  had trouble dealing with drives that have more than 1 TB of freespace.

Anyhow, if your new labtop doesn't have more than 1 TB of freespace on it's C drive (the drive you install the programs on)

then you could use a flash drive or similar means to copy over the photoshop 7 install cd contents to your new computer.

@Jeff Arola With a new laptop most likely this is Win 11.

The last conversation I saw with someone trying to install something this old is the PS7 installer packages wouldn't run and that was on Win 10.  Something to do with Logitech drivers, etc. and required going into task manager and killing a bunch of processes to allow the installer to even start up.

That version of Photoshop will not run on current OS and hardware and is not available for download from Adobe. Be warned - if you find a downloadable claiming to be Photoshop, most likely its malware/virus riddled and should be avoided.

Your only choice is to either subscribe to Creative Cloud and download a new version of Photoshop OR I would recommend looking into Photoshop Elements. If you haven't needed a new version of Photoshop since 7.0 - Elements might be more to your liking.
