I would like to automate people overlays on photoedits (like for create front page of magasine) to do this I tried to follow tutorials on "Actions". But when I record my photomontage process which consists of:
--> Import the photos (Raw) of one subject on a green background between my background and the text in the foreground.
--> Remove subject background.
--> Repeat the process on 4 worktops.
--> Export the 4 artboards in JPEG.
The problem the action of exporting the 4 artboards in the form of 4 JPEG files does not register in the tasks saved actions.
I contacted the support but apparently the "export as" action cannot be saved in the actions which is incomprehensible.
One people could help me ?
Apparently having Export As/Quick Export available to Actions and Scripting is on the "to-do list".
In the meantime, there are many Scripts that can be used to export artboards to files, including a default one that ships with Photoshop or others that don't require the use of a GUI which may be easier to use in automated workflows.
Use Save For Web.
Export has never been possible to Action. It's one of the major shortcomings and hopefully they'll get around to fixing it eventually.

This is not a Developer's question so I have moved your post to the Photoshop forum and tagged your post for Actions.

It has been more than two years since this was posted. Please move this from the to don't list to the to do list. As a software developer I see Adobe Actions as a mess. Using it is like walking on eggs. Actions should be saved as editable text so that simple changes like a file path could be changed without having to recreate an entire step. The record Action button should not be next to the execute Action icon. Adobe Actions need a complete redesign with affected users able to influence the outcome.
Get ready! An upgraded Adobe Community experience is coming in January.
