Photoshop color picker. Using tab button to switch to next number value not working

Win10 pro x64, Photoshop version 25.0.0

When I press the tab button to move to the next number value, it not auto select the number, I need to double click to make it blue, or manually delete and input the new number value.

It is expected to work like this:

Type first number, press tab, type next number.

(total 3 steps)

How it is working now:

Type first number, press tab, double click to select all, type next number.

(total 4 steps)

This consumes time and slow down the working process from 1 second to type all 4 cmyk values to 6-7 seconds.

I tried reinstalling the app, reset app preferences, switch to other workspace and back to essentials, but the problem is not fixed.

Please help

Since the Tab key is working as expected on my Adobe apps, I checked to see if it was a Apple System Preference setting. So see if this works:

Apple menu > System Preferences > Accessibility > Keyboard > Keyboard Preferences > Shortcuts Tab > Uncheck the box next to "Change the way Tab moves focus".

My coleague is on iMac, he doesn't have this problem, he uses the same version of PS, under the same adobe account.

At least Illustrator is working without this bug, I really hope they will not introduce this in Illustrator too... or someone will notice this thread and will offer an app update or a solution.

How is it possible that this has not been fixed? And thank you for explaining it perfectly. This has been driving me nuts for a year now everytime I want to try to find a solution, I end up getting stuck doing something at work and then I forget about it. Please ADOBE help with this problem.

I haven't found a solution. Agree, this is driving me crazy and has made something easy (tabbing through setting CMYK values) extremely inefficient.

Just found this thread. My PS just started doing this a couple of weeks ago and it is driving me crazy. I know CMKY colors very well and always tab in my own color breakdowns. Not being able to quickly tab through and enter the percentages myself is slowing me down considerably. Why does Adobe make these irritating changes?!? Has anyone discovered a solution?

I have the same problem. Thank you for asking this and explaining it perfectly. Something that used to be easy is now cumbersome. I am very interested in the solution.
