Hi all- I need to take this purchased photo and add a whole bunch more to the left and right. I have certain specs i'm working with. I just can't figire out a way to make it look real. Content-aware features don't work. I think this goes beyond my photoshop skills! Any advice would be appreciated!

You might want to make your canvas size to desired size. Then select you beach scene, you can scale the the photo to desired size. If the height is not to be any taller you can scale th photo when hold down the shift key. This will work as long as you do not have to stretch the photo to much that you see it stretched.

otherwise you can try Sameer's suggestion with content aware. Just be careful the clouds look natural.

one other way, you can copy a piece on each side and use gradient to blend into photo.

Wow thank you for this! I will hopefully be able to get back to the project next week, and will watch then. Luckily I have some time on this project. Thanks!

Hi, I've just had a go with your background, and found an easy way is to just create a wider canvas, and stretch your image to fit - Ctrl + T, holding down the Shift key and pulling the side handles to fit the new canvas. Because there is nothing to disort, I think it looks fine.
