Render timeline animation to video not working - wheel of death

I'm attempting to render a 15 second timeline animation to video and I'm just seeing the wheel of death spinning... hase been going for a good 30 minutes.

The animation is very simple, just a few moving elements over a background image.

I'm running the latest version of everything.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Same issue now here on PC with version 25.0. Left it on for one hour... tried it on the updated PS as well on PS Beta no succes 😢.
