First, there were actions.
Then scripting.
I'd like to see Adobe implement a generative pre-trained AI coding assistant, similar to ChatGPT or GitHub Copilot, Omata Labs MATE for Illustrator etc.
Rather than recording an action or learning to write a script, one would just instruct the AI assistant what one wishes to do and it would create a script on the fly and execute it. Of course, one could also ask for corrections and create iterations of the original prompt to tighten things up.
Unlike external apps, having this direct in Photoshop would allow for integrated debugging and code correction.
Casual users don't even need to see the code, they may use the assistant in a live, interactive fashion and may never wish to see or use the underlying code again for a one off task. But with an advanced checkbox, the code could be exposed.
