Steps:
1 - Using the Metadata Display window, I create a few custom metadata columns within the "Premiere Pro Project Metadata" schema by clicking "Add Property," naming them [for example, VIZ, DIA, GENRE, YEAR, etc...] and choosing "Text" as the type. I've also created my own schema, and added properties to it, but the result, in the end, is the same.
2 - I select the properties I wanna see, including the ones I just created, and deselect the ones I don't wanna see, and hit "ok."
3 - I arrange and resize the columns to my liking.
4 - I click "Save As New View Preset," give it a name, and assign it a custom keyboard shortcut.
5 - I repeat steps 1-4 to create a second and 3rd view preset using different properties.
6 - With a project open, I click the keyboard shortcut to enable view preset 1. All good. Sometimes, if I'm lucky, I can switch to my second view preset without it breaking. However, it always falls apart when attempting to go back to a previous view. The tables break and the UI soils the bed [within the project window]. There is text behind the form-fields and everything goes up in smoke. The only fix is to close the project and open it back up. This resets the UI and loads the last used view preset - which looks as it should.
Attachments include view presets 1 and 2. The 3rd and 4th pic show what happens when I switch between views. I'll add that I have no idea what the relationship between custom view presets and custom Meta Display settings is but it hurts my head trying to figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
