Export to Media encoder has stopped working

Trying to export sequence to media encoder but media encoder does not launch. No error messages just a complete failure to lauch media encoder. Everything previously worked fine but has simply stopped working. It seems to possibly be a dll issue but cannot find a fix anywhere.

Premiere version is 24.4.1.

I Have tried uninstalling premiere and media encoder via creative cloud and reinstalling but to no avail.

I have also Tried stopping antivirus in case it was interferring but no change.

We are mid offline on a 1 hour doc and so need to fix this quickly if poss so any help much appreciated.

I know I can bring the sequence in from media encoder but not as good as exporting from premiere.

Please always provide relevant information such as specs (OS, CPU, GPU, memory) and the version since which this has been happening.

Here are a couple of questions:

* Do you have AntiVirus or security software installed? Did you grant AME the correct rights?
* Are you using the most recent operating system?
* Do you use third-party plug-ins? Are those updated?

Same here.  Export to ME just won't launch ME.  Launch ME first, still doesn't work.  Both on the latest 2024 version.

It's a bug.  Please fix Adobe.

Hi @markw25280830,

With .dll issues, have you updated Windows Runtime lately? That can solve issues like that.

Cheers,
Kevin

Thanks, but been there done that. My feeling is it is a dll problem within Premiere. At bit weird that a feature that previously had worked has stopped working, with no harware or configuration changes.

Please try launching AME first. Then try to send the job over.

Hi @markw25280830,

The engineering team has asked for any log files you can provide. Information on where to find them is here: https://helpx.adobe.com/media-encoder/using/log-files.html.

I hope the log files might provide a solution. Feel free to PM me any links.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hi @markw25280830,

I got your note. Thanks for that. I apologize that the team has not gotten back to you yet. We may get better traction on the Media Encoder bugs forum. Before that, I sent the engineering team this thread. I hope they can either reproduce the bug or provide a solution. Please allow a little more time for their response. I apologize for this delay.

In the meantime, you could also reach out to Adobe Support. The best way to do that is to click here: https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html

The chat pod button is in the lower-right corner. Click that. After answering some questions, you will be presented with the option to get an agent to respond. Do that, but ask for an agent from the "video queue" (important). They can work one-on-one with you to solve such issues. Sorry for the frustration on this bug. If they find a fix, please return with the solution if you have time so that others may benefit. That would be appreciated!

Take care, and have a great weekend.

Thanks,

Kevin

Hello @markw25280830m,

Thanks for creating this bug report. The team might need more info about your system and media. Can you provide that? How do I write a bug report?

I hope we can help you with this issue ASAP.

Thanks,
Kevin
