P: Initialization Failure sfntread library error

Premiere (v24 and v25) fails to start and shows this error: Initialization Failure sfntread library error

I've done all the opening options 1) reset app preferences 2) clear media cache files 3) reset plugin loading cache 4) disable 3rd party plugins; after reading another thread, I've deleted all the fonts in font book; I've done a clean install of Creative Cloud and Premiere, but still no luck.

I'm at a loss, is reformatting my comptuer the only option?

Premiere v 24.6.4

MacBook Air M2, 16gb ram
MacOS 15.3.1

Thank you!!  This solution worked for me!  However, you don't need to delete everything, just the folder/items that say Adobe.

Hi @Alex244121701ewq,

Welcome to the forum. If all the other troubleshooting techniques have not worked yet, contact us here: https://adobe.ly/438a8Oj.

Use the chat pod on the lower right. When a live agent appears, ask for the "video queue." They are open 7AM to 7PM PST M-F. They can take control of your system and help you troubleshoot one on one. I hope they can help you. Sorry for the hassle.

Thanks,
Kevin
