Playhead in sequence workspace moves forwards and backwards too fast.

I have an issue with the newest version of Premiere.  Lets see if I can explain this---When you grab the playhead and move it back and forth within the actual sequence box it moves at the normal speed (as it did in previous versions) but if you move it off the edge to go further ahead of back in the sequence it goes way too fast.  Like 10x faster now as opposed to just two or three times faster as in previous versions.  And it is aggravating because there doesnt seem to be a sweet spot.  It either moves at a "working speed" that your eyes can keep up with or just jumps to the begginning or end of your time line.  And I didn't change anything, it just started doing that with the new version.  Is there a fix to this?

Does it change if you change the zoom level?

Does not fix the problem if I change the zoom.  It is so aggravating.  Surely someone else has noticed this.  I wish there was a fix

Hi @Willis5FDD,

I've experienced this and have seen others struggle with this issue. With that said, let's move this into the bug reports forum.

Thanks,
Kevin

No. Apparently there is no fix. I have just gotten used to it sadly enough. I dont understand why it was changed from the old versions
