I'm going to mark this as a bug because there's no way this large a hit to usability can be intentional.
One of the newer versions of Premiere (24.4?) changed the selection border on clips on the timeline, and the new border is really difficult to see. Like, difficult enough to see that I can't actually use it -- it simply isn't obvious enough for me to easily be able to see what I have selected! This isn't something that someone could "just get used to", there's simply not enough pixels and not enough contrast there to make it visible.
This problem continues into Premiere 25, which has some nice features I'd really like to be able to use, but I can't, because, again, I can't see my selection on the timeline.
I've included 2 images with this post -- one of them is an image of a timeline in the latest version of Premiere, with one clip selected. I challenge anyone to be able to find that clip at a glance. This is from a 4k monitor, so if you're looking at it on a 1080p monitor, look at the image at 50% scale to get a better representation of what I'm seeing.
The second image is what it looks like before this change happened. You'll find it far easier to find what clip I have selected.
I can't imagine how bad this problem must be for people that have bad eyesight!
Who do I have to beg in order to get this issue any attention at all?
