P: Premiere Pro v25 - Lumetri color wheel bug

In Lumetri color of Premiere Pro v25 there's a bug with using color wheels. If you put your mouse cursor over one of them, click and drag it to change the color, the mouse moves about 5 milimetres and stops even though you are dragging it further on. When you release the mouse button, the cursor jumps to the position where you dragged it to. Reproduced easily, two of my collegues confirmed.

Updated to PrPro 2025 and brought in single MXF (Sony XAVC LongGOP @35Mbps)

Testing out program

Applied Lumetri Color to Clip & "Basic Correction" controls worked fine. Reset those controls.

Used Color Wheels under "Color Wheels & Match" and the Shadows/Mids/Highlights sliders only move a 1/8 of the slide distance when clicking & dragging the control

If I keep dragging the Controller, the image in the Program monitor doesn't change until I release the Controller, and then it pops to where I selected, but I can't control it enough in real-time to do color adjustments.

Yea, that's weird.

Simply clicking anywhere, it jumps to where you click.

Using an Elements panel, the wheels work as expected.

It is ONLY in click/drag, that the + dign stops moving pretty quick. BUT ... on letting up on the mouse button, it jumps to where you had dragged it.

Thanks for posting!

Edit: calling! @mattchristensen to get this to correct team devs.

This has been reported by someone else yesterday, and I confirmed it on my machine. So there's already a thread about this issue.

I'm sure Tangent/Wave would love that!   lol

In Premiere, any Tangent kit, Elements, Wave2, or Ripple, is a Swiss Army knife tool. Not just color but anything can be mapped to them.

Audio? On the Elements, you have 12 knobs, three wide four 'down'. Which can be used for audio ... setting pans, volume, even "latching" modes if you want. Wave2 has several knobs, even the Ripple has the three knobs used as rings. Again, mappable for audio work.

Graphics? Well, yea, knobs/rings can be set to handle postion, sizing, and rotation controls.

So even a Ripple can give you a tremendous total production speed boost.

The same thing happens with the creative tab Tint wheels.

Also, curves are completely broken - you can't drag the middle point as usual if your cursor goes out of the working area. Just try to adjust black point and move your cursor a bit lower than the black point - you'll get the idea.

Another update, another bugs. Lot of bugs actually.

Could you let us know what you mean by "not reducing properly?" Is this with a specific clip?

Yes, details are necessary. OS/RAM/GPU and GPU driver particularly.

Also ... have you done anything to change the full/legal level in GPU or monitor settings?

Are you using a full level setting in the camera, now available with some cameras? Which is ... just completely wrong. You do not get any additional image data for that, only messed up video post processing.

YES! I am still awaiting my own! (just kidding....). @Pro_Kung_Fu_Kitten_Tamer - you may try Premiere Pro Beta 25.1. See if it is more responsive.

Thanks,
