This is occurring for my entire office, multiple machines, different accounts, after opening a project they are automatically crashing after a minute or so of being open (without so much as moving the mouse) or as soon as one of us interacting with the project. No freezing, no "Not Responding" just a crash. We have gone as far as reimaging one of our machines and doing a complete fresh install and that did nothing. Deleted older version preferences, did nothing. Reverted to older installs of PP, also, did nothing. Downloaded the diagnostics tool, it just keeps telling us a new driver needs installed, sends us to intel, we've installed the new driver, rebooted and with the new driver installed, the diagnotics tool says a new driver is still needed. Nothing is working. My entire company has come to a production halt due to this. Any help would be appreciated.

24.5 is running much better. I was able to edit for an hour or so without crashing, although I did get one crash immediately after upgrading, and then a restart of the application seemed to be fine. Crossed fingers it's good now. I'll call it 99% fixed, but I don't do a ton of elaborate editing, just synchronizing, PiP and audio with some color grading. Mileage may vary for others.

Hi @Aaron34672348v2y2 - We are still investigating the Frame Recurssion errors you are receiving.

I'm not sure what broke but a clean install on a brand new machine and any sort of project crashes after :45 seconds. Not exactly conducive to trying to put broadcast news on at all. Get a fix yesterday. Windows 11 HP Z systems Fury model laptop 64MB RAM RTX 5000 graphics card fully updated. Worked fine for about 3 days and now the only way it won't crash after 45 seconds is to start a brand new project from scratch. Not helpful as I have a "master" blank template project that has everything I need at my fingertips to get stuff into different newscasts. That system has worked for years until this random breaking. Tried to roll back to 24.4.1 nope, 24.5 is the same hot garbage. Most media being used (but not all) is coming from Sony XDCam.

Atualizei a versão do premiere para a 24.5 mas precisei voltar com a que eu tinha. Ocorre que a versão 24.5 trava e fecha do nada sem dar chance ao menos de salvar o projeto

Hi @Television Photog, @default5u76iuv5022l, @Tal378443413kv3 - We have made some updates in the beta version 24.6 to access this go to the creative cloud desktop under apps and in the side bar there is a beta apps section, here you can download Premiere Pro 24.6.
Do you have any plugins installed? If you have crashes immediately on opening premiere you can hold down shift and select the checkboxes "Reset plugin loading cache" and "Clear media cache files". You can also select disable third party plugins if you have any plugins installed.

Thanks.
Meanwhile, I rolled back to 24.3 (as mentioned somewhere here) and it's stable for the past hour.

Worked fine for a bit but reverted to just crashing within minutes of opening a project. Seems better on a brand new project, but you need to restart premiere, start a new project, and only in that session, will it be somewhat stable. If you open an existing project, it will crash within minutes. I stopped using Premiere until the next patch. I don't rely on Premiere for my income so I can wait. I'm not monetized but for those who make their living with video editing must be extremely frustrating.

Will try the beta. However I would hope Adobe focuses more on stability and less on AI features that nobody asked for. I believe a lot of these problems are caused by the inclusion of all this intrusive AI nonsense. Just my opinion.

Hi @David283017584g5f - We just released 24.6, can you check and see if this helps your issue?

I upgraded to 24.6 but the problem is still there. I've reverted back to 23.6 and zero issues with crashing. None whatsoever. I would suggest putting less emphasis on AI tools and more emphasis on stability.

HI @CHoesel1975 - Do you have any plugins installed and what are your computer specs? Can you confirm again what issue you are experiencing?

I started a similar thread about this but here are the specs. I don't use any plug-ins.
14900KS
Z790
64GB DDR5 at 6000MT/S
12TB NVME
RTX 4090
System is completely stable and zero CPU degradation.
May want to look at the 23.xx codebase and revisit, because a lot of high-end footage is recorded in mxf format. I have a 1200+user enterprise account and a dozen editors that are starting to look elsewhere for their NLEs.

Hi @CHoesel1975 - Can you please explain the exact issue you are experiencing.
Also, I see you have one of the affected Intel PC problems. I'm not sure if you have been following the intel raptor lake issue, but here is an article https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-components/intel-raptor-lake-instability-troubles-everything-you-nee.... I have heard bios updates have been rolling out so that would be a good thing to check if your PC is crashing.

The exact issue is explained here on the topic I started. Somehow I piggy-backed on someone else's thread here but I created my own thread with video and everything. https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-bugs/24-4-1-crashing-about-1-minute-of-project-being-ope...
I realize my CPU is part of a bigger issue affecting some Intel CPUs. My PC has actually never crashed, it's the application that crashes. I have all the latest BIOSes and have been running my CPU very conservatively. So far there is zero evidence of degradation on my example, and I tried several CPU's. This also happens on a laptop so it's not platform-dependent.
The issue is Premiere Pro (every version since at least 24.4.1) crashes within a couple of minutes when there are any .mxf files in either the timeline, source window, or imported media. It acts like there is an issue processing the codecs. In my case it's XFAVC from Canon, but our Sony users are also having issues.
I'm not sure if the issues exist for Mac users, as I don't support Mac but I do know some of them are using Premiere on Macs.

I see thank you for the quick reminder. I see you are on an enterprise account, do you know what email they use? Can you backup your preferences and hold "SHIFT" while opening premiere to reset app preferences, just to rule that out.
Can you email me at jamiec@adobe.com I would like to test one more thing with you.
Edit:
Can you check the AdobeCrashReport app on your system. You can find it in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro 2024
You can select the checkbox that says Always show this dialog. If it is Checked, you can choose the next best option which is “Don’t show the Adobe Crash Reporter dialog and always send crashes to Adobe.

For what it is worth 24.6 did not solve the crashing issue at all on my machine. It seems to be the worst it has been. It did it, then I cleaned out the cache, and that seemed to reset it for about a week, it started crashing again so I thought ok, clean out the cache again, but no effect. I've just gone back to 23, the news deadlines don't allow time to play around with what-if's and maybes.

HI @CHoesel1975 @Television Photog - This is starting to sound like something we discovered recently releated to a corrupt ImageRenderer.dll file that is packaged with Premiere Pro. Would you be able to troubleshoot by deleting that file, You can find it in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro 2024 and then update to Premiere Pro 24.6 and let us know if you are still getting crashes.
