I have premiere pro 2019, Version 13.1.0 (build 193), licensed one. My video and audio are getting out of sync if I load into premiere pro. I tried Handbrake, still it doesn't work if I upload to premiere pro. When I watch this video in VLC or any other player, I don't see any issues. Only when I import to premiere pro, I see audio and video are out of sync. How to fix this? Please advise.
Below is the media info of my clipping. I recorded my gameplay in IPad.Refer the link below for the video sample I uploaded for your reference.
Frame rate mode : Variable
Frame rate : 47.562 FPS
Minimum frame rate : 0.255 FPS
Maximum frame rate : 66.667 FPS

It has been said that premiere pro now supports variable frame rate, but it doesn't looks so. I tried other editor filmora, it is able to render correctly, I m not seeing any out of sync. So, something is wrong with premiere pro.

Hi ashoka16432853,
Sorry to hear you that are facing sync issue. Have you created this project or have you used the same footage in any previous version of Premiere Pro? Try clearing the old media cache and check if it fixes the issue.
Here are the steps: FAQ: How to clean (delete or trash) media cache files?
Please let us know the status after testing.
Thanks,

I created the project based on media settings. I tried in another editor filmora, where i don't see sync issue. If I play the video in vlc or any player, it is fine. This issue is happening only in premiere pro. I tried handbrake to convert variable fps to fixed fps, but after importing that converted video, I still face sync issue.

Thanks for sharing the details, ashoka16432853. This issue should get fixed either by clearing the media cache or by converting it to constant frame rate.

I too am having an issue with files where audio and video are not in sync. I have used files that are .m4v and files that are .mov . I can play them fine on my computer and when I import into Premiere Pro, the video and audio are not in sync.

I recorded video with my phone + external microphone. The video plays well on computer, phone, in other apps. Only in premiere the audio is totally out of sync with video!!
why do I need to buy such an expensive app as handbrake to fix my video and audio issue?
