Audio Repeating Itself When Playing Back at Double-Speed

I edit a lot of interviews for work, and I like to play them back at double time (or faster, on occasion) so I can get through the content more quickly. This has always worked swimingly, but I've recently noticed that when I am playing back at any rate faster than real-time, every few seconds or so, the audio will repeat that past half second or so, and continue on. When it does this, it's pretty hard to understand what the person is saying.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas of what could be causing it / how to troubleshoot it? Thank you!

Adobe techs, this issue is huge for me and I need it fixed. Its happening in version 13. Still no fix.
