Is there a way to change the audio file associated with a video source file in Premiere?
The audio I want to replace is attached to the original video file, so I think the only solution in Premiere is to...

Select the replacement clip in a bin.
Unlink the video and audio, then right click on the audio and choose Replace with clip from bin.

Hey Peru Bob, thanks for the suggestion. I've only recently had a chance to try it out...
I want to to change the audio connected with a video file in an edit. When I try what you have suggested, the audio files restart at the start of each edit (please see attached pics). My new audio is the exact same length as the original audio and I can't see a way to reconnect/reassociate the audio in the project.

Try this instead:
Rename the original audio file in its folder location on your hard drive to name of audio file OLD.
It will go offline.
Right click on the original audio file in the Project Panel and click relink.
Choose the new audio file.
