Copy clips from another project paste in new project creates an empty folder but if I delete the folder the clips disappear.

If the folder is empty, what clips are disappearing when you delete the folder? The best way to move clips between projects would be either importing the old project, or opening both projects within Premiere and just dragging the clips from one project to the other.

I have my second project open and Timeline, I copied and pasted the files to the new timeline . It creates a new folder in the First project , where the files are supposed to be but the folder is empty. the files that I copied over are in the new timeline but not in the new project. But if I delete the folder in the new project it created the files are also deleted.

Not sure why copying files to one project would create a folder in a completely different project. Are you sure you're copying to a timeline from the new project? Try copying the files over using one of the methods I describe and that should work.

The problem importing a sequence it brings in all the clips. I just want certain ones. I guess it just another above glitch.

Then don't import a sequence/project. Open both projects at the same time in Premiere. Set the two project panels side by side. Click and drag only the clips you want from one project panel to the other. Let me know if you have questions.

This is what I'm doing and that what gives me the empty folder

Are you dragging a folder or just the clips? Are you dragging to a folder or to an empty project window? Premiere shouldn't just create folders on its own unless you're dragging a folder structure from the media browser.

I dragging the clips and it created a folder. I know it shouldn't but it does

Can you take a screen recording of you doing this? I'd love to try and troubleshoot myself, but I'm out of office until Wednesday.

First off, I do see how the clips you're copying into your new timeline don't appear in your Project window, which is weird. I know the Media Browser window allows you to filter which filetypes you can see; I wonder if you have something similar to that toggled for your Project window that's not allowing it to display whatever filetype those audio files are. Also, it would have been nice to see the "audio 2" project before you copy the files over to verify it is creating those "empty" folders after you copy the files.
But all of that aside, you're not following my instructions with copying files between projects. Don't copy from your timeline to paste in another timeline. That gives you no control over where those clips are being organized in your new project. You see those two tabs in the lower left that say "Project: audio 2" and "Project: FIREWORKS PROMO"? Those are the only two tabs that matter. Drag one of those tabs to a different place in your monitor, so then you have both those Project tabs open at the same time. From there, either copy-paste or click-and-drag the relevant files from one project tab to the other. Don't even touch the timelines. Once you have the files in your new project, organize them in a bin if you want. You'll have to manually match your in and out points from your other project before dropping those clips in the timeline, or you can drop them in and then trim them to match your other project, but maybe someone has a tip to work around that.

Project 2 did not have that bin it was created when i copied and pasted. But there is a flaw in this program if I can't do this with two open projects. Please let Adobe know of this flaw. If I drag clips from one timeline to the next it does what it is supposed to do. I also did not have any filters on. This is an Adobe problem not operator error.

try stacking the 2 timelines of the 2 projects above each other (pancake timelines)
then drag the files from one sequence timeline and drop them in the other sequence timeline.
This should create a copy of the files without them included in a bin.
Please let us know what happens

That does work, but the bug is copy and paste

can you please specify the exact version of premiere you have (the exact build)
and your system specs?
This would help a lot when we share on the bug report

Hello jebellomo,
Did you find a solution to your problem, I am having the same issue.

Hi, I was having the same problem.
My solution is: DO NOT copy the clip from one project timeline to another project timeline.
INSTEAD: Copy the clip from your old Project Bin Window to your New Project Bin Window. Then add to your new timeline.
