I'm mastering a timeline from PrPro in DaVinci. The editor sent me an xml which refereces edited Clip Filenames (Scene/Shot/Take) and not the original Source Filenames, which I need so that I can relink to the source media. What does the editor need to do in Premiere to export an xml of the timeline with the original filenames?
There's gotta be a way? Thanks in advance for any help on this.

@Richard M Knight ? @Tranquil_Cosmos157F ? @Warren Heaton ? Ideas?
The (relatively) few times I've exported an XML from Premiere for use in Resolve, the original file/clip names were included. Is there an "if this name field has data, this name field is left off" thing somewhere?
My XMLs included both the clip name and reel numbers. Puzzling.

Yes, EDL was an option. The timeline had been properly prepped for grading, and thus contains only one video track. The editor sent me an EDL, which, after a quick test on my laptop, appears to work just fine. I still need to get on the machine tomorrow where the source files are located to relink, but it appears that we're up and running.

If using Final Cut Pro XML, ask the Premiere Pro editor to restore the source footage filenames from the Finder/Explorer by using the file path found at the top of the file properties and then export another Final Cut Pro XML. Select a clip, File > Get Properties For > Selection (command/control + shift + i) and then carefully copy and paste the filename (including the extension) to the Name.
It may be helpful to move the Name to Description column prior to restoring the source footage name as well as do this in a duplicate Premiere Pro project.
