A pitch-shift effect exists in Premiere Pro CC 2014.  You can find it in the "Audio Effects" folder labeled "PitchShifter".  You don't need to use Audition for this effect if you don't want to..

I always use Adobe Audition for Pitch Shifting, and it works great.

Do you have the suite with Audition?

Good luck,

I do not have the suite with Adobe Audition, but I did download the trial verson of it.

Could you please tell me how to do it in Audition? Also, is there a way to do it in Premiere, or is the only way to do it in Audition?

Thanks!!

In Audition, Effects>Time/Pitch>Pitch Shifter, unless it got moved around in CS6, which is not on this laptop.

Maddening the way everything is split up into differemnt systems. So much wasted time when stuff like this could be simple!

If you want to do it all in Pr, you can change the duration, and then add the pitchshifter effect to the audio track and play around with that

There is an effect called Pitch Shifter in premier pro. It does nothing. It does not change the pitch. It does not change anything. When I try to adjust any of the parameters the audio stays exactly the same

and in audition, pitch shift and bend modifies duration. so... no, you cant change only pitch without duration. neither in premiere nor audition.

it doesn't change anything. and if you try it in audition, it changes shift and duration. pitch shift or pitch bend. both modifies duration.
