I have done dialogue in stop motions, actually plenty..............BUT.............All of those audio files were set to exact seconds, so I knew how many photos I would have to take(I do 24fps and my channel is www.youtube.com/c/slothmotions) I am storyboarding and just about to figure out how many photos I need to take, but I dont know how I would do that with the seconds not being right on a second, like the first scene is 11:13.............Reply with any help, it would seriously help, and thanks!
At 24fps, it's actually pretty easy. Very simple arithmetic. Much easier than 29.976!
12 frames equals .5 seconds.
6 frames equal .25 seconds
3 frames equal .12 seconds (and a hair)
Figure out the frames from the seconds and part-seconds of your audio. Or the other way, figure out the frames available, and using the above, compute the time they allow for dialogue/ambiance/music track.
