Hi Folks,
Got a crazy one for you, well I think its crazy...
In one of my projects, an audio clip will only play fully if I zoom in to it, so that I can actually see the play head run over the audio trace. If I zoom out, the first half a second of the clip is skipped....
To be precise, the clip starts with the word "Although". I hear this when I play back when zoomed in. If I zoom out so that I can see the whole project, but can no longer see the details of the trace, PR only sounds out "though"...
Its absolutely repeatable.
Surely there is no coded relationship between the quality of the GUI and the playing of source files.....
Any thoughts?
Thanks Folks.
D

Hi Richard,
I have some basic Essential Sound settings. Nothing glamorous...

Does that include noise reduction?

Yes it does.....
It's a 13 minute audio clip and I dont get the loss anywhere else.
What are you thinking Sherlock?

In the past Premiere has had issues with noise reduction being a problem at the statt of clips, though I have never seen it mentioned that zooming in alters the sound. Try removing the essential sound to see if it helps. It may be worth diplicating the clip onto another track so as not to alter work already done.

I had a go at dumping the ES and it made no difference. The zoom is wierd. Thankfully the offending clips export fine. Thanks for the thoughts anyway. Cheers Richard.
