Hello,
I have this problem with my Premiere Pro and Media encoder.
After fully rendering the video output, The render screen (with the loading bar) won't close and it just stay there. I also keep track of the encode and decode process in my task manager. And when everything finishes, I just click on the cancel button (in the render box within PP).
And i have done this in Media Encoder and it still gets stuck, I have to manually click on pause and resume to start rendering the other projects.
The exported files are okay, no stutters and video issues. Is this a glitch with premiere pro and media encoder? What am I doing wrong?
My export settings is at the default YouTube 1080p.
This only happens if I render a video that is more than an hour with the same default settings and other custom settings.
Please tell us your system specs: OS version, Premiere version, amount of RAM, Hardware specs including graphics card
and your source properties.
By any chance are you working with source material from a smartphone or screen recordings? If so, the issue may be from variable frame rate sources. This is an intermittent issue and is impossible to predict when it will happen and how the problem will manifest itself so it's always a good idea to convert these files to a constant frame rate.

You can see if your sources are variable frame rate using media info

You can convert to constant frame rate using handbrake
and here's how

Oh my god @mrgrenadier thank you so much for this info! I've never even thought about that. Yeah upon thinking the video files that I use when it constantly hangs are zoom recordings! Jeez and i thought i had a bad pc haha. I edit 4k footages from my sony a6400 and it runs smoothly but when editing zoom recordings, premiere always gets stuck on the rendering page. I'll try out handbrake and see if it fixes if. If not, oh well haha.
Here are my base specs
Ryzen 5 3600 OC to 4.1ghz
Zotac Rtx 2060 super
