Already been discussed here, and resolved (I assume).
However, the same issue has started to happen with me.
I'm getting random audio pops here and there that sometimes occur and sometimes don't.
- My audio files are pop free.
- when I solo the tracks involved and play them separately, the pop is gone.
- Still occurs even if the track that is 'popping' begins completely silent.
- Making any type of edit to the file (for example raising or lowering the DB) seems to fix it for a one off playback, however the pop returns after I pause and replay.
- Shows up in export.
- Still occurring after multiple restarts & re-imports of the audio files.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I cannot get my work to my clients like this.
Thanks!

Make sure to use only .wav files for editing. You can convert using Audition if necessary.

Same here still. I can't go to CC 2018 because it throws my audio and video wildly out of sync.
I'm using AVCHD footage.
Audio pops will appear at random in the timeline. They are absent on the original files. One trick, instead of taking the time to patch them with silence from a quiet section, is to switch the file from offline to online. I've made a short screen capture video demonstrating the issue.
