problems with time remapping

Hello,

I am having an issue with time remapping where the white line is not moving up or down on the clip (to increase or decrease speed) after clicking speed on time remapping; I am using version 22.3.0 of Premiere Pro. I include a clip on the timeline, right click fx, click time remapping and then speed. I am not sure if this is user error and any help would be appreciated.
