Ok, so at least this one is easy to describe. With pictures!

I have a video clip i'm trying to put over another video clip. But it does this:

I expected it to do something like this:

(that's just the background clip scaled down and pasted over itself)

here it is all on it's own with nothing underneath it... works fine ;/

Looks to me like the top video clip has a blend mode applied to it. Possibly "Multiply."

Click on it, and in the Effect Controls, look at Opacity. Click on the triangle to untwirl it.

Set Blend Mode to "normal."

It was on 'color burn,' I have no idea why, i don't recall ever touching the blend modes.
Thanks, I knew it was gonna be something obvious like that. Can't believe i needed forum help solve it >.>
