Text pasted into Titler does not retain the font

I'm using CS6 under OSX 10.9.

When I paste test into the Titler, the text does not retain the original font from which the text was copied. Instead, the font used is the font already in use within the Titler text. Or if the text box is new, the font from the previous use of Titler.

Is this fixable somehow?

No ... that text is controlled by the setting in the Titler, so that it has the full control of the font and can scale as needed.

Thanks Neil.

That system is a bit of a pain when you're using special symbols, like arrows. You can't copy and paste. If you do, you end up with a crossed-out box. And you can't use OSX's Character Viewer either – to double-click to insert a special character. You have to note the font you've chose, paste into the Titler, then round up the same font.

I can't see how that system's really beneficial. But anyway, as long as I know the workaround, and the reasons why.

It's the only way that PrPro can know exactly what any bit of graphic there is ... and how to change the size as it gets scaled. That's only a text entry tool, not something out of Illustrator or Word where text carries with it all the meta info about what it is.
