Timeline Selecting

Let's say I have multiple video and audio layers and I want to select all of them within a few seconds. I start the selection at the top and work my way down.  Right now with this update, once the timeline automaticaly scrolls down as I select down, it un-selects the top of the layers where I started my selection.

I want it to select everything from the top where I started to where I end it while it still automatically scrolls down.
