I'm starting to edit VR & 360 videos in premiere and I understand that premiere lets you wear a VR headset to edit. I have three questions about this:
Which VR headsets work in premiere?
Are there pros/cons to these options?
Is there an overall best headset to use with premiere?
Both the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift work in Premiere 2018.
You should now see the preview for your open project in your headset. In the current version you can use the controllers to pause and play or jump to a specific part in the timeline. From what I've found the Oculus Rift was supported by the Mettle plugin that was acquired by Adobe and is now part of Premiere 2018. I have an HTC Vive and I can not enable "Track Head-mounted Display". There is a program called Revive that makes the Vive pretend to be a Rift and I've seen reports saying that works with Premiere 2017 and the Mettle plugin. I'll try it and let you know.

Ekmanwinroth,
Sorry for the issue. Which headset are you using? Hope you can get it working. It's fantastic editing without having to take the headset on and off.
Hope we can help.
Regards,
Kevin

Hi!
Thanks for the answer, I found the problem, i had some issue with SteamVR. Reinstalled it and now Premiere is working and i can check the Adobe Immersive enviroment, but its crashing alot. I use Oculus rift. I keep getting a grayscreen and its keeps on loading and the rift crahses. IS this hardware related? I have a fast pc and editing of NVME m2 drives, source material . 3840x3840 360 VR Stereo / Top/ Bottom.

From what I've heard, you need a monster system. But it looks like you might be OK there. How about your GPU?
Let me see if I can get some attention to your issue.
Thanks,
Kevin

Hi again!
Problem solved, its definitly a hardware problem on my side. When downscaling to 2880x2880 and using differnt playback resolutions i get perfect result. So my "fast" editing bay is not fast enough for 360 VR Stereoscopic. Probably GPU related. It would be intressting to here what Adobe would recommend interms of hardware when working with 360 VR Stereo/ Oculus Rift. Thanks in advance!
