Don't forget, there's always your ability to purchase a lower resolution monitor. Say you want a 32" monitor, instead of buying that new 4K monitor you've been looking at, go with a beautiful QHD - 2560 x 1440 instead. The pixel sizes will be bigger than in the 4k monitor. You'll save some $$$ and have a monitor you can run at 100%.

Hi everyone, thanks for the passionate feedback. Francis from Adobe here. I’m a Principal Product Manager on Premiere Pro.

The real talk is that yes, we did underestimate how many of you were utilizing the Console to adjust font size!

UI font size adjustment has been a request that’s been made for years and got shifted or re-prioritized from time to time. As your monitors have gotten larger, your requests have understandably got louder.

You’ve probably seen that Adobe moved to a new unifie

Thanks for the mention.

FYI, Very worthwhile live stream and the Adobe folks were very open in replying to feedback and providing info on improvements under consideration.

Some other issues besides the UI font size were also mentioned, so worthwhile to review if you have other fixes/features/improvements important to you.

(I was happy to hear they know Premier Pro 'project manager' needs improvement and they have in their sights to improve it.)

I had cataract surgery in Feb. Now, I no longer need glasses! However, I'm leaning in and squinting through drugstore readers to try and edit in PP because of the @#$%*! tiny font size of the UI.  Of course finding the console trick on YouTube provided only fleeting hope, since it apparently no longer works on the new version I've got installed (Win11 Pro desktop). I'm blaming all my new crow's feet on you, Adobe!

Signed,

Do as I’ve done and go back to the last 2024 version, where the back door trick still works

Please fix this function I can not read what I'm doing and it's very discouraging to using your product. I'm SUPER frustrated and very angry that this isn't possible. I mean VERY  frustrated. IT SUCKS. I LITERALLY can not read what I'm clicking on on a 27" monitor, that's absurd.

Don't forget, there's also always the option to move closer to your display.

You can only get so close before you leave nose prints on your monitor.

I'll be at NAB all next week.

And as usual, this will be on the list for things I'll bring up with the devs. As it has been for a decade now ... but hope springs eternal!

They did finally fix the issue where color control surfaces could only affect the bottom, last instance of Lumetri if there were multiple Lumetri layers on a clip ... which has been an issue since about half way through the 2017 version ...  🙂

It's really important to have these as a normal "preferences" feature in Premiere Pro. Fixing a bug with hardware it's simply no way to work around this.

We're not in the 90's anymore so please fix this.

Again, totally agree the UI needs more user controls. Including font size. The comments at NAB were ... from what I could share, to the effect of "yea, we're aware of this ..." and "it's on the radar" ... that sort of thing.

We users tend to prefer something about how soon this might appear in the public beta, but they're still a bit close-lipped on any progress 'here'. As always on about anything.

Fundamentals don't go away, pixel size is pixel size, it does matter.

[text deleted]. Search for [text deleted] and change it there. It's not perfiect, there's some clipping of menus in places but it improves it substantially. My probelm is a hi-res laptop on which I have my secondary window. My workspace is on my 27" Dell which is fine, I just couldn't change the laptop. Hope that helps.

Note: please do not share the use or how to enable any undocumented features here in the community.
I have to remove such comments by request from the product team.

The dog jumped up and knocked me over and my [text deleted] fell off.

A completely wrong decision. Why take away something so useful? What exactly did this change make better in Premiere? It definitely made things significantly more inconvenient.
