Track Lock in time

I put this idea foward years a go but I think it may have been lost when coming to the new forum.

What I would like to see is the ability to lock a track in 'time'. this function has been in Audition for ever.

When working with music or performance videos it would be nice if the in sync tracks could be locked so that accidental movement during edit trimming could be avoided.
