Hi there! Can it be there’s a »rule« regarding paragraphs in justified text setting, saying that there should be no hyphenation between the very last line of a paragraph and the line before it? See the hyphenated word »Vorgän-gen« near the end of the paragraph screenshot below. Such a rule would not allow that hyphenation ...Have you all ever heard of that rule, and if so, do you acknowledge and follow it?Thanks!
The letter U in the Avenir Next bold font (which installs with the Mac OS) has a problem that is showing up only when used in Adobe applications. Look at the letter U in this screenshot. It appears larger than it should All characters are the same size, no stroke, no scaling applied. This does not occur in any non-Adobe application. Is there a bug that needs to be fixed?
I need an uninterrupted view/list of fonts. 12 at a time will take too long. I need to see (see attached .png) more font families all at once, say 25-50 families at a time?
Hi!This is my first post here. I´ve used font called Anton several projects and now all of a sudden there is message in Creative Cloud app that "this font cannot be installed".Why this happened? I´m in trouble now because I need that font to my project. Client is not happy if that font isn´t available anymore. Neither am I.I hope someone of you have time to answer me.Toni from Finland
We previously used Roboto OTF for all of our projects, but now we need to use Roboto TTF for everything. Is there a way to have all InDesign projects use the new installed Roboto rather than have the missing font pop up each document and manually change it myself?
Hey, just wondering if I can use the Adobe Fonts library to design a title logo for my video game. I'm not going to use it for any other purpose. The game will be sold on Steam and the logo will be in the .png format. I'm asking this because the Licensing FAQ says that I cannot embed fonts in a desktop application, and I have no idea what that actually means. Thanks!
Are you able to identify the type of this font? ChatGPT says it is not a standard font. Untitled-1.png
The font selection dropdown in Adobe apps is fine ... as is the Creative Cloud system app and web-app to activate more Adobe subscription fonts. But on MacOS that dropdown is polluted with tonnes of junk essential system fonts, including all the foreign language ones MacOS won't let me disable. That makes the fonts dropdown in Adobe apps not much fun to browse fonts in, but so it is (unless I have missed a trick?) But for some reason Apple thinks Papyrus and Party LET are essential too. These are locked from deletion and even locked from deactivation in Font Book. Is there some way to rid my font selector dropdown of Papyrus or Party LET?And futhermore is it safe to delete from /resources/required/fonts the junk fonts Adobe adds, like TrajanColor-Concept.otf ? These are hidden from the Creative Cloud system app font list just to make them harder to eliminate too.Hoping for a dropdown list of only the fonts I've activated myself ... is that impossible?Regards.
For example: I needed a sans serif font for headers in a book, where the capital i doesn't look like a small L. Or I could use a K with the right center angle. Or an M that doen't touch 'ground' in the center.Features like that, it is really hard to search nowadays. We used to have font-books, but now everything is online and this is one of the hardest things in my job, takes a LOT of time. Letters that are important for various reasons in characteristics (all of them but mostly): ABDEFGHIKMNOQRSWYPlease help
When I closed document it was fine. When I opened it two days later, Type command remains an arrow. Can't select type of enter new. Help!I am new to 2025 version, though worked earlier versions of InDesign.
We're looking to license for web Minion Variable for a client's main website. Is this possible? Also Adobe, it's ridiculous that I have to ask this in a forum instead of calling or emailing someone.

I have some very irritating font problem. I downloaded fonts from google fonts (Roboto family). I installed it on two computers. One at my office. The other at home. Both running win10.When i use the font in a project created at home computer and reopen it at office computer, InDesign says that font is missing(!). Actually ID says that missing font is Roboto TTF, while installed on the local system is Roboto OTF(!?).Why? Both systems got same font, from same source file.Any solution for this?
Hi there! In another forum I read that there was a study published by Adobe in the 1980s to find the best suitable font for faxing. Unfortunately I can't enter there to inquire any further. Does anyone here know anything more about this study or even where I could find it? That'd be sweet! Thanks in advance, cheers, Hari
I'm curious about your experience with it. Is it user-friendly? Are the templates and assets good quality? And how does it compare to tools like Canva or Adobe Express?Would love to hear real feedback before I dive in!
Hi everyone,I’m currently an active subscriber to Adobe Creative Cloud and I’ve run into a bit of confusion regarding font licensing—hoping someone here can help clarify.A while ago, I received an email from Monotype claiming that I had used the Arial font in some creative materials without proper licensing. The thing is, I’ve only been using fonts provided through Adobe Fonts, so I assumed everything I used was properly licensed through my Creative Cloud subscription. Now I’m wondering:Does Adobe Fonts actually include a licensed version of Arial?Or is Arial not covered under Adobe Fonts and needs a separate license from Monotype?Has anyone else experienced something similar?Any insight would be really appreciated! Just trying to make sure I’m on the right side of licensing and avoid any further issues.
Hello! I am currently working on a project that uses the font Effra CC Variable When importing the font into our project using typekit, the font has 20% leading at the bottom of the font instead of distributing it equally as `line-height` does. This is confirmed by brining the font into illustrator - the leading at the bottom is set to auto. Programs like Figma and Illustractor are able to remove this leading (Figma removes it automatically), but it cannot be done on the web via typekit. However, the original font created by Dalton Maag does not have the high x-height. On web projects, this is causing issues with centering within buttons, etc. Adobe CC:Dalton Maag site Solutions attempted:`Line-height` has no effect on the bottom 20%, as any additional line height just gets added to the spacing already present.Setting a `descent-override` -- because we are importing with typekit, we cannot set a `descent-override` in the `@font-face`. Furthermore, t
I tried to ue all of the font finders but none of them could give an answer!

Hi all, I've contacted the support and their people many times and none gave me a correct solution so here I am... For context : - I'm using Windows 11- My problem is on -at least- InDesign and Illustrator (I did not test in other Adobe apps)- On my computer I have the font Open Sans installed. Two weeks ago, I downloaded on Google font the latest version of this typeface and installed it on my computer in its static version, because I know that variable fonts are not supported in every app. So, as you can see with the screenshots below (image 1 & 2), I have correctly Open Sans on my comptuer and all its weights :My problem : In InDesign and Illustrator, when I want to change the font weight of a text using the Open Sans typeface, I can't select Bold because it is not shown (image 3 & 4) : If you're wandering, no I have not Open Sans installed with Adobe font and I don't want to. I want to be able to work in Adobe with my local fonts, as we would e
Hi thereI am trying to find current licensing details on Times Lt Std. We purchased this as part of the Font Folio 11.1 - covering us for desktop and flat ebook/PDF online use perpetually. Searching the web now for this font mostly only throws up sites offering for free, one or two, A-Z fonts for example offer the ability to purchase, which redirects to myfonts.com, however item is no longer available. Of course Monotype own rights to Linotype library now, but thre appears to be various versions of the font faces out there. Times LT Std - Bold, and Italic version 1.0 are Linotype AG, where Bold italic, and Roman, both later versions 2.050, and 1.040 both appear to be Adobe systems.I cannot find via Adobe fonts under my CC subscription either. Can anyone confirm if this font is still available to purchase, if so where from, or is it now Free to use commercially as many sites indicate? Thank you in advanceNoel
I outlined Source Sans Varable and got this. It appears this typface needs some pathfinder love... Adobe?
