I am someone who uses the time stretch option with some frequency and I'd be perfectly fine if that moved to control/command instead of alt/opt. Sure, it'll be annoying for a bit, but I'll get used to it. And, heck, roving keyframes (ctrl+clicking) kinda feel like time stretching in a way, so it fits pretty well. I would really like to be able to have "ubertwirl" as this sort of feature is often described. Would you want to be able to apply effects to these groups like you can to a precomp? Anyway, while we wait to see if we get a feature like this, I would recommend that you color-code your layers as if they were in groups. Then, you can right-click on the layer's label color and select all the layers that have that label and click the shy switch. It's a great way to do what you're asking for. (I use the third-party Labels script to make assigning labels really quick (and with custom colors), but you don't have to.) ... View more

If you're missing Red Giant's Light Wrap tool, it's been updated and built into Supercomp (along with a lot of other useful compositing tools). It can wrap light from one layer onto all the layers at once without precomposing! That said, I think having an easy effect to wrap light from one layer onto another would still be quite useful. So, please, ping Maxon folks (as I have) to bring it (or an equivalent) back! And, obviously, we can hope for a native solution by voting on this (which I have also done). ... View more

Sounds like something got messed up with the permissions on that user account. If uninstalling and reinstalling AE doesn't work, try installing a different version of AE. If that still doesn't work, you may need to just migrate everything over to that new user account. ... View more

If you select a layer and press e e - that is, press the e key twice, it will show you all of the properties with expressions. It sounds like you are starting an expression on a property that doesn't have one already. If there's no expression, you'll need to add it from scratch. Thta is, delete what's there and replace it with something like wiggle(2,9) If there's already an expression on there, alt-clicking the stopwatch is not what you want to do. If you know the kind of lens on the drone, you can set it in the camera tracker to help things along, but your client may not care about things that much. A simple track may be all you need.   If you're concerned about distortion (and I don't blame you; drones have rather wide lenses), you can get as into the weeds as you want to with it. If I were doing this, I'd use Lens Distortion Matcher from Red Giant. You can use it to undistort the footage prior to the camera track (giving you a more accurate track) and then you can use it to easily redistort your new assets so they sit better in the shot.
