It appeasrs that you've lost these options when you upgraded your applications lately. Follow these steps to install the Middle Eastern copy of the said applications and have access once again to all Arabic and Right-to-Left tools and options…   1. In your Adobe Creative Cloud application, access your account found on the top-right corner.   2. In the pop-up window (your account) click the "Apps" option on the left pane 3. Choose "English يدعم العربية" in order to download a copy of Illustrator with more Arabic support options. Click "Done" button.   4. Click on the three elipses, from the drop-list 5. Choose any of the older versions available. Note, you cannot install the same version which exists already on your machine, that's why you need to choose even a little older copy from the list.   6. Click "Install" for the version you've selected.   NOTE. Above steps are illustrated to show you how to install another copy of say Adobe Illustrator without removing existing copy of Illustrator. If you want to keep one copy only ie. keep the Middle Eastern vesion, you would then need to start by un-installing the applications first before changing the Langauge as shown above. ... View more

Good thoughts there Sam. Surely, if you have access to InDesign, then it is much more convenient and presentable to have your Arabic text layed out there, then Exported to PDF. Adobe Express have limited Arabic support as you noticed. If your Arabic Express project is a single page, then I would suggest that you download it as an image such as PNG or JPG. If however, the project that contains Arabic text is a multipage, well then you will have to publish it to the web in different structor such as Webpage or Presentation sa these two Express features supports long article and supports Arabic.   ... You're correct. Adobe Express doesn't support mixing Arabic text and a Latin text such as English well. However it is doable, I mean you need to type and delete within the line in order to get an acceptable result. Having said that, I didn't see your example, however on my iOS device I was able to type both Arabic and English with a bit of fidling around. Arabic support is still available in Illustrator's latest versions. Perhaps you have updated your Illustrator recently and for some reason the Right-to-Left features disappeared.   Just uninstall Illustrator using Adobe Creative Cloud application on your desktop, and don't foreget to hit the "Remove" button while uninstlling so the Preferences will also be wiped out. Once the Illustrator is uninstalled, you may follow below steps to re-install a Middle Eastern version. Important: Uninstall first before you follow below steps. From the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop menu, click on All Apps to view a list of installed Adobe applications Click the three ellipses shown beside each installed application Choose Uninstall to remove the non-Arabic application and remove Preferences when prompted Once ALL existing applications have been uninstalled/removed successfully, click on the “Account” icon found on the top-right corner of the Creative Cloud desktop application and choose “Preferences”     5. In the newly opened Preferences dialogue window, click on “Apps” on the left pane 6. Scroll down to the bottom of the window, from the “Default install Language” drop menu choose English يدعم العربية in order to have Arabic support in Adobe applications, then click the “Done” button.   Now you can install a fresh copy of Illustrator Middle East that supports RTL fully. ... I hope I didn't confuse you, I didn't say you need to update your Illustrator, you rather need to download another copy of Adobe Illustrator that supports Arabic which we call this version "Middle Eastern (ME)". When you download and install the second copy, you will end up with two copeis of Illustrator on your machine, one that used to exist on your machines in the first place and the ME version for Arabic jobs. ... It works for me. I scanned a page with Arabic content, saved it as PDF on Acrobat.com, opened it on iPhone, I clicked on the highlight tool at the bottom, a mesage showed informing me that the content is an image, and that I can run the text recognition, which I did… Soon after, another message appeared saying English text is now recognized At this point, I was able to highlight Arabic as well as English text, though the Arabic is getting highlighted from left-to-right however it is understood that Acrobat doesn't handle Arabic well everywhere. ... So the e-form was created on Acrobat on a computer, then opened later on iOS to fill up the form, here you mentioned that you're using "Edit" option. Can you explain why you need to Edit the PDF on iOS, are you trying to fill-up the fields? I agree that the content shouldn't duplicate, however, we know that Acrobat on Mac/PC/Android/iOS doesn't support Arabic fully everywhere, having said that, we found the e-forms with Arabic content are one of the places that are fully supported! I appreciate that you've posted many screenshot above, yet I'm not able to figure out what exactly is happening, because you wrote that you want to edit, then you mentione that you are using the Signature block to type numbers. It will help us if you elaborate further and tell us what are you trying to acheive with all the steps you're taken.   Acrobat do have limitations with Arabic in some features including the e-signature where you need to type Latin text. Having said that, if you're using the Fill & Sign tool shown bleow in the red box, then this will allow you to type Hindi digits ١٢٣٤ however it will always start typing from left side as if you're having Latin content. (Note. I'm on Mac platform using new Acrobat interface) On another note, and until Acrobat team fixes the issues related to editing Arabic content in Adobe Acrobat, I always advise users, especially Windows users to open the PDF straight-in Microsoft Word and do editing on the Arabic content right there in Word as this will ensure editing correctly compared to editing Arabic content within the PDF in Adobe Acrobat. ...
