If the issue still persists, I would suggest the following steps- 1. Update both the software "Adobe Reader DC" and "Outlook 2016" to the latest version available. 2. Hi briant93810317, I am taking about the first issue you have mentioned- * Stamp - doesn't recognize PDF file Please take a note that you can use only PDF files as image for creating custom stamps in Adobe Reader, however Acrobat Pro DC(paid version) supports other type of files as well. Actually while choosing image file to create stamp, Reader is searching for files unsupported file i.e. except *.pdf files, which is an issue, you. This issue will get solved in the next release of Adobe Reader. However there is a workaround for the time being. If you are using Mac system you can see my reply on thread below- Re: Adobe Acrobat Reader DC "Select Image for Custom Stamp..." is blank If you are using Windows system, kindly change the file type to "Acrobat PDF Files(*.pdf)" while choosing an image to create Stamp. Hi danieldunn10, I can see in the video that Outlook is prompted for selecting a profile. Could you please check which option has been selected for using profiles of Outlook on your system. Kindly follow the steps to check it- -Open "Control Panel" -Search for word "mail" in search box on the upper right corner. -Click on "Mail (Microsoft Outlook 2016) (32-bit)" -Click on "Show Profiles" and check if the second radio button "Always use this profile" is selected and the correct Outlook profile is being used from the dropdown. Hi michaelc83729168, Thanks for reporting the issue. We investigated into it, on some systems second pdf takes time(~40 s) to get opened. I did the following steps- -Opened a PDF -Attached it to Email and sent the mail -Double clicked on another PDF to open and waited for sometime. Second pdf took around 30s to get opened.(Though it should not take this much time,we are looking into it.) Hi georgesr0001, Please take a note that you can use only *.pdf type file for Stamp creation with Adobe Reader, though you can use any type of image with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC licensed product. So to resolve the issue for Reader, kindly click on "Options" in the lower left corner as shown in your snapshot and choose a PDF file on your system. Acrobat Reader will let you create Stamps. Hi, This might be the case of trying to delete another reviewer's comment. If not "Identity" of Acrobat might have changed. Kindly check "Identity" of Acrobat and modify it with yours if it looks to be different. Please follow the steps- 1. Open Acrobat app. 2. Open "Preferences" (on Windows use ctrl+k and on Mac cmd+k) 3. Select "Identity" under Categories. 4. Update "Name" and "Email Address" if it is different. 5. Click OK to save the changes and close Acrobat. 6. Now comments added by you should get deleted, you cannot delete other reviewers' comments. I hope it helps. Hi Firstlighththomecare, Looks like a scenario where two persons add comments/stamps on a PDF with same Log-in account and want to categorize the comments by its author. If this is the case, you don't need to log-in/out. You just need to change the author of the comment according to your choice. Please follow the steps to change the author of the comments- 1. Open any PDF then open "Preferences"(on Windows, use ctrl+k and on Mac cmd+k). 2. Select "Commenting" and un-check the box "Always use Log-in Name for Author name". 3. Click "Ok" to save and close Preferences. 4. Now add any comment, right click on it and select "Properties". 5. Select the "General" tab of the Properties window, change the author name according to your choice and then tick the chcek-box "Make properties Default". 6. Hi, Apologies for the inconvenience caused. We are looking into this issue. I guess you are using SharePoint based reviews. There is a workaround for it. At the time of initiating SharePoint based reviews, authentication window pops-up. Please enter the username and password and then tick the check-box 'Keep me signed in'. Please find the attached, snapshot for the same. If you have already shared the pdf for review, then close the Adobe Acrobat app(on windows use 'ctrl+q' and on Mac 'cmd+q'). Hi, Before "Send for Email Review", you can set a password to restrict the permissions on the document. Please follow the steps below- 1. Open the PDF file you want to share for comments. 2. Open "Document Properties"(on Windows use ctrl+d OR on Mac use cmd+d). 3. Goto "Security" tab. 4. Select the Security Method as "Password Security" from the drop-down --> "Password Security - Settings" window opens. 5. Tick the check-box under "Permissions" 6. Select the Changes Allowed as "Commenting, filling in form fields, and signing existing signature fields" from the drop-down. 7. Input a password in "Change Permissions Password:" and click "OK" to save the changes 8. Click "OK" if prompted and then confirm the password and click "OK". 9. Click "OK" if prompted and then Click "OK" to close "Document Properties" window. 10. Save(ctrl+s or cmd+s), now you can share this PDF for commenting. Now if a person gets this pdf, he/she cannot edit the contents of the PDF.He can add comments, fill in the form fields or put his signature in the signature fields. Hi, While distributing a PDF for shared review we use either i. As an attachment to the message OR ii. As a link within the message If we use the first option while initiating review then every participant will have a copy of the review PDF as attachment. Any of these copies can be used to retrieve the comments. If we use the second option a copy of the review PDF is stored on the sever location, this copy of the review PDF can be used to restore the comments in this case. If you are not able to get any copy of your review file instead you have only .xml files.In this case you have to note down every comment. It will a tedious task if the number of comments and reviewers are large as there will be a .xml file for every reviewer. Please find a snippet from a .xml file showing a comment by a reviewer- Currently there is no direct method available to get the comments from .xml files. I hope it helps.
