Apologies for the inconvenience caused!
Actually, this is an issue and we are also able to reproduce it locally on Mac machines. I hope you are also facing it on Mac system. Please note that the concerned team is working on the fix, will let you know once we plan to deliver the fix into one of our future releases.
Meanwhile can you please try the following workaround so that you do not fall into this issue:
Quit Acrobat process from Activity Monitor
Now launch Acrobat app first then open any PDF(s). (Actually, you may fall into this issue if you open a PDF by double clicking when Acrobat app was not running and once the issue occurs, it remains in that Acrobat session.)
